Barbara Locke Billingsley, RSW, MSW Candidate, BSW, BHScS, MLT

Barbara received her Social Work Degree from the University of Victoria, British Columbia and is Registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). She has provided counselling support in various roles over the past 15 years. Barbara started BLB & Associates in March 2020 in the hopes of helping people cope with the impact that the pandemic was having on them.

Barbara has a basket of knowledge with CBT, DBT, Narrative therapy, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, Indigenous Holistic Theory, Psychoeducation and more. She believes in continuing education for herself and for her clients, to better support them on their healing journey. Barbara supports individuals, couples and families with I wide range of challenges from a strength-based, trauma informed approach to support individuals with challenges like OCD, anxiety, depression, family counselling, adolescents, transitioning, crisis trauma counselling, intergenerational trauma and complex mental health needs.

Barbara has a special interest in psychotherapy and Indigenous peoples, and because of this, Barbara focuses on psychotherapeutic techniques and is a registered health care provider with the NIHB for Indigenous clients.
